A Summer Studio Update

Poor blog, you have been so neglected! I can't believe that August is nearly over. Not sure if that is a good or a bad thing, but I am excited for cooler temperatures. They aren't kidding when they say that Columbia is "famously hot"! A few exciting updates art wise - in June I was the featured guest artist at First Thursday's on Main at Nest, where they sell my pendants! Just a few weeks later, I received my copy of my first published piece. My painting "Dawn Over Rosario Strait" was featured in Maker's Magazine Issue 2: Morning!

I worked on some really fun commissioned custom works as well including custom cards, a custom watercolor guestbook, a whimsical botanical piece on fabric, a groom's gift painting of their engagement spot, and surprise house warming gift of a painting an aspen grove.

On a personal note, it has been a bit quiet around here. My health has taken the front seat of my focus as I have started new treatments and undergone some new extensive pulmonary testing to try to assess how we can improve my diaphragm weakness. I finally feel that I am in good and knowledgable hands, and am looking forward to what the autumn season holds for me!
